Fiber Art

Fabric collage art stitched from vintage and reclaimed textiles.

I have been a fiber artist much longer than I have been a painter. Long before the paintbrush, there was cloth, thread, and a sewing machine I taught myself to use. My work has been on the cover of Quilting Arts magazine, and I have written many articles for them over the years. You can read more about that on my About page.

My fiber art pieces are made from vintage and reclaimed fabrics I have collected over years of thrifting, saving scraps, and wandering through antique shops. The sewing machine is one of my favorite tools for building a picture.

Because every scrap has a history, no two pieces are ever the same. The found materials become something new: a garden, a king, a paper chain plane taking flight, a hummingbird queen.
