Cats in Soft Pastel

My soft pastel cats are all about softness, in the medium and in the cat. I love how pastel lets me blend and layer color gently, building up fur and expression with just the touch of a finger.

I keep the marks loose and let the paper show through in places, so each cat feels alive rather than polished. Some are calm and watchful, others full of mischief, but every one gets its own colors and its own character.
