"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. I've found it has little to do with the things you see, and everything to do with the way you see them."

Project 365 2017/2018

Every day I take a picture. Okay, okay, maybe I take 37 pictures every day; same thing :-) I choose my favorite either because it is an awesome picture, or maybe it is a memory that I would likely forget or a moment in my life right now that I take for granted. I then print all my pictures and make an album "My Life Project 365". Currently I am working on year eight. Every year on my birthday I decide if I want to continue with my project, because it does take a lot of my time. These pictures are not always the best quality or taken with my "nice" camera. There are definitely some out of focus iPhone photos amongst them, however I love every single one! What did I eat today, what did I wear today? At the same time I can say that these pictures are not always of my best days or taken at the right time for my kids and husband. I hear a: "Put the camera down and get the first aid kit!" or "Not a good time to take a picture Karin!" at least 5 times a year (or is it a month?). The time when my little buddy got stung by a bee for the first time for instance or the day that my husband had to come home to remove a triple fishhook firmly logged into my sons leg. Not always the best moments, but I want to remember them nonetheless. Life moves way too fast and I want to capture and most importantly remember every moment! I want to be able to look back with a smile on my face and say: "Wow, if not for this picture I would have totally forgotten about this!"
